SC20 and SC23 Antennas
The SC20 and SC23 hand portables are available with a wide range of antennas. These can be selected to maximise operational coverage depending on key factors, including the operational frequency band, the carrying position of the hand portable and the level of RF coverage of the network.
The extended compressed helical and the quarter wave whip antenna have similar performance characteristics; both offer a higher gain and improve coverage when compared to the compressed helical and can be used when network coverage is restricted.
The UHF SC20 and SC23 antennas are the same as those used with the STP series of hand portables.
Antennas are colour coded to indicate frequency band.
Nominal gain figures in the table are measured in free space at resonance. When used close to the body, these figures will degrade with the amount of degradation dependent on various factors.
