Public Access Mobile Radio Operators
Countries across the globe have begun building and operating a public access mobile radio network in recent years.
These 'network operators' enable users who cannot afford to build their own networks, through lack of budget or expertise, to freely use the network already setup by paying a small subscription cost. PAMR users can be anything from dispersed public safety agencies to private security or transport companies, to utilities and construction companies.
Access to these networks is usually through subscriptions, with the ability for users to purchase their own radio equipment which then requires programming to meet the network requirements.
Many of Sepura's industrial and commercial customers join a PAMR network to run their communications most cost effectively and efficiently, at the same time as, benefiting from the reliability and security of a TETRA network.
