Abiom Rewarded by Sepura Following 2018 Sales Performance
Sepura recently recognised their long-time partner Abiom for a record-breaking performance in 2018 after Abiom were awarded significant contracts to provide communication solutions to public safety organisations in both Holland and Belgium.
Abiom have won agreements to provide over 60,000 TETRA terminals to Dutch police forces in 2019, representing the largest single shipment of Sepura terminals in one order. Significant numbers of terminals are also being provided to other emergency services, including ambulance and emergency response teams, as well as users on the ASTRID network in Belgium. The market leading SC20 and SC21 TETRA terminals, many of which are already in operation, are enabling users in both countries to communicate safely with both voice and data, significantly enhancing their operations.
As elsewhere, Dutch and Belgian users repeatedly referenced the audio quality and usability of Sepura devices being significant factors when carrying out user evaluations. This is a trend also seen in the UK, where a number of police forces have invested in new devices to refresh their radio fleets while the UK awaits the implantation of the ESN programme.
“We are delighted to cement our positive working relationship with Abiom and to provide users in both Holland and Belgium with these new devices, which will confirm Sepura’s position as the leading supplier of TETRA Public Safety radios in Europe”.
Terence Ledger, Sales and Marketing Director at Sepura
“Abiom’s recent success is a tribute to the dedication and thoroughness with which they look to serve their customers. We are delighted to share this award with them and look forward to many years of future success.”
