The AIU (Application Interface Unit) performs all the audio, PEI and digital I/O access functions of the console. With no display or keypad, it is a light, compact unit requiring minimal installation space.

The AIU can be used when audio and data input/output are required without need of a console, or if a console is fitted but more than two audio accessories are required.

Note: For data only, no AIU or console is required.
